How to get the cheapest Apple TV 4K
- Apple sells only the fourth-generation model, at $299 with preorders shipping November 13. Third-generation units at other retailers are the cheaper route while stock lasts; check which generation a listing is before comparing prices.
- Among third-generation units, the Wi-Fi model is the cheaper pick for most people. The Wi-Fi plus Ethernet version adds a wired port, Thread and more storage; the fourth generation includes all three as standard.
- Deals cluster around the late-November sales week and occasional one-day drops; the live table tracks the current low so you do not have to wait.
- Older or open-box units appear at Best Buy and Amazon; on a device that changes slowly, last year's box is an easy saving.
Frequently asked questions
Where is the cheapest place to buy an Apple TV 4K?+
The lowest Apple TV 4K prices are usually at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, or Target rather than the Apple Store, which holds list price. The live table above shows the current lowest in-stock price across supported retailers.
Should I get the Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi plus Ethernet Apple TV?+
That choice applies to the third generation, now sold by retailers rather than Apple. Its Wi-Fi model is cheaper and fine for most homes; the Wi-Fi plus Ethernet version adds a wired port and more storage. The new fourth-generation Apple TV 4K comes in one version with Ethernet and 128GB.
Does the Apple TV 4K go on sale?+
Yes. Major retailers discount it regularly, with the biggest cuts during the late-November sales week. Because deals come and go, the table above tracks the live low.
