We Don't Collect Your Data
TheresMac is anonymous by design. We built this site because we were tired of Big Tech tracking every click.
What We Don't Do
- No account required to browse or compare products
- No tracking cookies
- No newsletter email collection unless you explicitly subscribe
- No data sold to third parties
- No analytics that identify you personally
What We Do Collect
Almost nothing:
- Local storage: Your "New vs Refurbished" preference (stored only on your device)
- Weekly digest: If you subscribe, we store your email so we can send the editorial roundup
- Watchlist: If you sign in and save a product, we store that saved-product choice for your account

No passwords, because Google handles sign-in and never shares one with us, and no payment details, because we sell nothing directly. We don't sell, rent, or trade any of it.
Deleting Your Data
Two different things, so we'll be precise about which is which:
- Stopping the emails. The unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email marks your subscription inactive. You stop hearing from us immediately, but the record stays in our database.
- Deleting the record. Email privacy@theresmac.com and we will erase it. This covers your subscriber record, your saved watchlist, and your account.
Deletion requests are handled by hand, so allow up to 30 days. Send the request from the address you signed up or signed in with so we can match it to the right record, and we'll confirm once it's done.
You can also remove individual saved products from your watchlist yourself at any time, which deletes those rows straight away.
Affiliate Disclosure
TheresMac participates in affiliate programs (Amazon Associates, eBay Partner Network). When you click a retailer link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
This doesn't affect which products we show or how we rank them. We show the best prices regardless of affiliate relationships.
Third-Party Links
We link to retailer websites (Apple, Amazon, B&H, etc.). These sites have their own privacy policies. We don't control how they handle your data.
Changes
If we ever change this policy, we'll post the update here. But our core principle won't change: minimal data, maximum privacy.
